The federation's youth calendar runs from the cadet championships in rapid and blitz each December and in standard chess in February to the junior league before New Year. Schools have their own ladder: municipal rounds and the city final of the primary-school championships in late winter, the chess competition of the youth sports games municipality by municipality, and the School Cup of Belgrade, played by birth year on the Ada Ciganlija sports grounds in June.

Clubs add series of their own: Gliga's numbered weekend tournaments for boys and girls and its youth memorials in Zemun and Zemun Polje, the International Open Championship of Čukarica, the holiday cadet tournaments of 64 polja, and the St Sava tournament in Lazarevac with categories by school grade. The Obrenovac secondary-school humanitarian tournament is played at the technical school, and the children's tournaments of Next Generation Chess have no edition newer than the one shown.
