Rapid tournaments, finished in a day 27

Rapid sits between blitz and a full standard game, so a tournament of several rounds fits into one day. The federation's rapid Grand Prix plays numbered tournaments through the year towards a final in December; Gliga's weekend tournaments and youth memorials in Zemun, the International Open Championship of Čukarica that Kralj runs at Vidikovac, the Karaklajić cup and the Dragan Dodoš memorial in Zemun keep the same pace.

Rapid is also the format of most youth and school events: the School Cup of Belgrade on Ada Ciganlija, the primary-school championships and the youth sports games, the St Sava tournament in Lazarevac and the holiday cadet tournaments of 64 polja. In summer the outer municipalities add the Gročanske svečanosti festival, the Kokanov memorial in Lazarevac and the MOOSSS tournament in Mladenovac, while the student unions of FON and RAF play humanitarian rapid events.
